Dawood Hercules Corporation Limited’s material information

Karachi, June 18, 2012 (PPI-OT): As required under the material information disclosure provision of the Listing Rules, we would like to inform you that Sui Northern Gas Pipelines Limited on 17 June 2012 informed us that in view of severe energy crisis/load shedding prevailing in the country, they have been advised by GOP for immediate suspension of gas supply to Fertilizer Sector and diversion of the gas to Power Sector. Accordingly, SNGPL has informed us that it will not be in a position to continue gas supply to DH Fertilizers Limited (a wholly owned subsidiary of Dawood Hercules Corporation Ltd) till further instructions.

DH Fertilizers Limited as a consequence has been forced to shut down its plant. We will inform you when the gas supply is restored.
