Steps being taken to improve province’s vegetable markets: CM

Punjab Chief Minister Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif has said that the Provincial government has taken various steps to provide the best facilities in the vegetable markets.

He was chairing a meeting in Lahore on Tuesday to review the steps being taken to improve the affairs of the province’s vegetable markets.

The Chief Minister said that running the affairs of vegetable markets in a smooth manner is the responsibility of concerned departments.

He directed to ensure the best facilities in the vegetable markets of the province.

He said that all the relevant departments including the Department of Sanitation must monitor the situation in the vegetable markets by themselves.

Shahbaz Sharif directed to complete the construction of a cold storage facility in Kacha Fruit Market Lahore on earliest.

He said that Lahore Electric Supply Company (LESCO) must complete the work on setting up of a grid station the fruit Market at a fast pace.

He also directed for making the best use of the Land of old vegetable market in Kot Lakhpat Lahore.
