City District Government Karachi Receive Directive to Make Complaints Centre Functional Before Eid-Ul-Azha District Coordination Officers Karachi Take Notice of Cutting of Trees at Sharae Faisal
Karachi: DCO Karachi Roshan Ali Shaikh has directed city government to make the 1339 Complaints Center functional in all towns of the city before Eid-ul-Azha. He was attending a briefing on Citizens Complaints Management System 1339, Command and Control Surveillance System and Health Management Information System in DCO Camp Office on Monday.
Director General Parks and Recreation Liaquat Ali Khan, EDOs of Finance and Municipal Services Department, Project Director and representatives of concerned companies were also present on this occasion.
DCO Karachi said that Complaints Center in Bin Qasim and Gadap Town must be restored within three days while the Keamari Town should also have its 1339 Complaints System restored before Eid.
He said that the city government and town administration will have the same complaints number 1339 during Eid-ul-Azha and all the complaints registered on it will be addressed immediately.
DCO Roshan Ali Shaikh said that the 1339 Complaints Center of City Government Karachi had been awarded ISO 9001 Certification, therefore it should carry on its performance and maintain this status.
Any negligence or carelessness in this regard will not be tolerated and the concerned official will be transferred immediately.
He said that better use of latest technology could solve the problems of citizens without delay. Meanwhile DCO Karachi Roshan Ali Shaikh had taken strict notice of the incident of tree chopping at Sharae Faisal. He directed Director General Parks and Recreation to lodge the F.I.R and take legal action against the tree choppers.
On this the D.G Parks Liaquat Ali Khan submitted the application in the Fereozabad Police Station for registration of first information report against the people involved in the cutting of trees at Sharae Faisal.
DCO Karachi also directed the incharge of Central Command and Control Room of city government Karachi to ensure even effective surveillance system in the city.
He said that the trees not only enhance the greenery and beauty of the city but also makes the environment healthy. He also appealed to citizens to inform city government on complaints center 1339 if they see any tree being chopped down by anyone so that legal action could be taken against them.
