PPI Original Text (PPI-OT) – Daily Karachi Port Operations

Karachi, May 23, 2012 (PPI-OT): Two container vessels and a tanker vessel are due to reach the outer anchorage of Karachi Port on Thursday, the 24th May 2012. Vessel GOLDEN DOMINANCE will discharge 2,000 tonnes of “chemical”.

During the last 24 hours, 02 berthing and 04 sailing of vessels have taken place at Karachi Port. ZULAL and HONGBO have acquired safe berthing at the port, whereas vessels M.T.QUETTA, LODESTAR GENESIS, OCEAN CROWN and HYUNDAI HIGHNESS have sailed out from the Karachi Port.

A total tonnage of 87,226 comprising 45,979 tonnes of export cargo and 41,247 tonnes of import cargo were handled by the port during the last 24 hours.
