PPI Original Text (PPI-OT) – Daily Karachi Port Operations

Karachi, May 22, 2012 (PPI-OT): Two tanker vessels and three bulk carriers are due to reach the outer anchorage of Karachi Port on Wednesday, the 23rd May 2012. Vessels STAVANGER EAGLE, and DU JUAN SONG will discharge 45,000 tonnes of “Mogas” and “general cargo” respectively. Meanwhile vessels FOREVER SW and IKARIA ANGEL will discharge “coal”, whereas Vessel CHEM RIGEL will load 2,500 tonnes of “Ethanol”.

During the last 24 hours, 05 berthing and 03 sailing of vessels have taken place at Karachi Port. Vessels QUETTA, ABDULLATIF.S, STX PATRIAKOS, LODESTAR GENESIS and UBC CHILE have acquired safe berthing at the port, whereas vessels ORIENTAL MARGUERITE, CHEMROUTE SKY and MOL BRAVERY have sailed out from the Karachi Port.

A total tonnage of 97,851 comprising 19,631 tonnes of export cargo and 78,220 tonnes of import cargo were handled by the port during the last 24 hours.
