Islamabad: The Meeting of the Cabinet Sub-Committee on regularization of contract/daily wages employees held on 1-12-2011 at 1.00 p.m. in the Committee Room of Establishment Division, under the Chairmanship of Syed Khurshid Ahmad Shah, Federal Minister for Religious Affairs, Federal Minister for Science and Technology, Mir Changez Jamali, Federal Minister for Housing and Works Makhdoom Syed Faisal Saleh Hayat and Ch. Manzoor Ahamd, Chairman, Peoples Labour Bureau/Member of Central Executive Committee (CEC) of PPP also attended the meeting.

In the above meeting the Cabinet Sub-Committee ordered the regularization of 6015 contract/daily wages employees of the Utility Store Corporation working for the last more than one year on contract or daily wages basis.

The Cabinet Sub-Committee also ordered the regularization of 1011 employees of various Departments/Organizations running under the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting including 286 employees of the Associated Press of Pakistan and 661 employees of Pakistan Broadcasting Corporation in addition to a large number of employees of various other Ministries/Divisions including the employees of the Wafaqi Mohtasib, Secretariat.

The Cabinet Sub-Committee also directed the Ministry of Housing and works not to dispense-with the services of 138 contract employees of Pakistan Housing Authority and arrange the regularization of their services against available vacancies instead of fresh recruitment.
