Islamabad: Islamabad Police on Wednesday nabbed 16 persons including 11 suspects and recovered 1.025 kilogram heroin and illegal weapons from their possession, a police spokesman said.
Sub-Inspector Asjad Mehmud from Sabzi Mandi police station apprehended a female accused Misbah Khan and recovered 1.025 kilogram heroin from her.
Sub-Inspector Muhammad Iqbal from Sihala police station arrested Nisar Hussain in possession of 30 bore pistol and five rounds while ASI Muhammad Shabbir from Bhara Kau police arrested an accused Aamir Mehmud for having 30 bore pistol.
ASI Ghulam Abbas from Golra police station nabbed two persons Yaseen and Shamraiz for their alleged involvement in a theft case.
Meanwhile, Shalimar and Golra police station apprehended 11 suspects during search operation in their respective areas.
SSP Islamabad Tahir Alam Khan has appreciated this performance of policemen who arrested woman drug pushers and others. He has further directed all officials to intensify patrolling in their respective jurisdictions and curb activities of anti-social elements.
