15 arrested during raid at ‘Sheesha Center’ in Bahria town

Islamabad, March 25, 2018 (PPI-OT): Lohi Bher and Sihala police on Sunday raided at `Sheesha Center’ situated in Bahria town and nabbed 15 persons, a police spokesman said. Following the information, SP (Rural) Hassam Bin Iqbal constituted special team headed by ASP (Rural) Ahmed Arslan, SHO Loi Bher police station Inspector Jamshed Khan, SHO Sihala police station Inspector Abrar Hussain, Sub-Inspectors Muhammad Ishfaq, Arshad Mehmood ASI Azkar Hussain and others.

Sihala police team raided at Sheesh Center’ in Bahria town phase 7 and nabbed 4 persons .The nabbed persons were identified as Muhammad Shafique, Umer Hayat, Adil and Hilal Armani. Police team recovered 3 `Huqqas’ and other smoking items from them. Lohi Bher police teams raided in in Bahria town phase 4, Bahria town phase 7 and Bahria town phase 6 and nabbed 11 persons .The nabbed persons were identified as Basam Khan, Qismat Khan, Qazi Zubair, Muhammad Sheriz, Muhammad Faisal, Muhammad Ashraf, Faisal, Talah Nawaz, Ishtiaq, Sharafat, and Syed Kaleem. Police team recovered 17 `Huqqas’ and other smoking items from them.

Further-more ASI Adeel Shokat from Sabzi Mandi police station arrested a bike lifter namely Alaf Shah and recovered stolen Honda 125 bike from him. ASI Muhammad Hanif from Bani Gala police Station arrested accuses Nazar Ali involved in selling patrol illegally. ASI Shabbir Ahmed from Lohi Bher police station recovered one 30 bore illicit pistol from the possession of arrested accuse Ghazi Abbas. Sub-Inspector Sarfraz Ahmed from Koral police station arrested a drug pusher Tahir Iqbal and recovered 250 gram hashish and 80 gram heroin from him. Cases have been registered against these nabbed persons and further investigation is underway from them.

SSP Islamabad has appreciated the effort of police teams and directed all police officials to continue their efforts against those involved in misguiding our youth. He said that smoking has been prohibited at public places under the law and sheesha smoking causes great health hazards. He directed police officials to conduct surprise checking in their respective areas to eradicate sheesha smoking. He said that Islamabad police would not allow smoking or sheesha smoking at any public place in the city and the violators would be dealt with an iron hand.
