2000 more cameras to be installed in 400 identified new locations

Karachi, November 14, 2014 (PPI-OT): A 4 member delegation of the Bureau of International Narcotics and Law Enforcement Affairs Pakistan (INL-P), embassy of the United States of America called on Inspector General of Police Sindh Ghulam Hyder Jamali at Central Police Office today. The delegation was headed by Director INL-Pakistan Alberto Rodriguez.

The delegation discussed in detail about the strengthening and expansion of Command and Control enter, CPO for surveillance and monitoring. The delegation expressed its commitment to assist expansion of the surveillance project, by all means.

At this occasion a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was also mutually agreed and signed. According to the signed MoU, 2000 more cameras would be installed in 400 new identified locations of the city. Moreover, Zonal Command and Control Centers would also be established in Karachi and remain in direct link with the Central Command and Control Center at CPO. The expansion project would be launched shortly. The delegation also visited command and Control Center CPO and appreciated the endeavors of Sindh Police in this regard.
