Speaker National Assembly Attends 2600 Years Anniversary of Buddha


Islamabad: Dr. Fehmida Mirza, Speaker National Assembly attended 2600 years anniversary of Buddha held at United Nations on Monday. Permanent Ambassador of Pakistan, Abdullah Hussain Haroon accompanied the Speaker. Water and Power Development Authority signs agreement for Management of Tarbela Sediments


Lahore: An agreement was signed between Pakistan Water and Power Development Authority (WAPDA) and a joint venture to conduct sediment management study for Tarbela Reservoir. The study aims at exploring various options to evacuate sediments from the reservoir to tackle the issue of decreasing water storage capacity in the reservoir because of the natural phenomenon of sedimentation. NATO helicopter strike wounds two Pakistani troops


Rawalpindi: Two NATO Helicopters violated Pakistan air space today at Admi Kot Post, North Waziristan Agency in the in the early hours of the morning. The troops at the post fired upon the helicopters and, as a result of exchange of fire, two of our soldiers received injuries. Pakistan Army has lodged a strong protest and demanded a flag meeting. Foreign and Commonwealth Office Minister Alistair Burt arrives in Pakistan
