India’s false flag operation to divert attention from Indian Occupied Jammu and Kashmir genocide imminent: Prime Minister

Islamabad, May 21, 2020 (PPI-OT): Prime Minister Imran Khan reiterated that a false flag operation was imminent from India to divert the world’s attention away from its ongoing genocide in Occupied Kashmir. In a tweet, he said 15 homes torched by Indian Occupation forces in Srinagar as 900 thousand (900K) security forces subject Kashmiris to brutal oppression. Imran Khan said Modi’s Hindutva Supremacist Occupation Government is committing war crimes in IOJ and K including changing the demography in violation of 4th Geneva Convention.

Pakistan always condemns terrorism in Afghanistan: Foreign Minister

Islamabad, May 21, 2020 (PPI-OT): Foreign Minister Shah Mahmood Qureshi says Pakistan has always condemned terrorism in Afghanistan as its own peace and prosperity are linked with those of the neighbouring country. Talking to a private TV channel, he said Pakistan has always played a role for establishing peace in Afghanistan. However, internal unrest in Afghanistan is creating hurdles in the peace agreement. The foreign minister said India is behind terrorist acts in Afghanistan and it did not provide any support to the Afghan people who were rendered refugees.

Government respects all institutions including media: Information Minister

Islamabad, May 21, 2020 (PPI-OT): Minister for Information and Broadcasting Shibli Faraz has said things deteriorated by incompetent regimes in past cannot not be rectified overnight, and a long journey with consistency is needed for this purpose. Talking to private news channel, he said PTI government has taken the task to put the country on the path of development and prosperity.

He said the forces who had always supported the status quo did not want Prime Minister Imran Khan in power as the latter always fought against the former throughout his political career. The minister said there is a democratic government in the country, which respect all the institutions including media.

United States lauds Pakistan for solid cooperation for peace in Afghanistan

Islamabad, May 21, 2020 (PPI-OT): United States has lauded Pakistan for solid cooperation for peace in Afghanistan. This was stated by US Acting Assistant Secretary, Bureau of South and Central Asian Affairs Alice Wells during an online media briefing.

She said solid cooperation between US Ambassador for Afghanistan Khalilzad and Pakistani leadership witnessed to reach the negotiating table for peace in Afghanistan. She said Pakistan’s commitment to peace in the region has grown and Washington-Islamabad relationship improved particularly in trade.

Confirmed coronavirus cases in Pakistan soar to 48,091

Islamabad, May 21, 2020 (PPI-OT): The number of coronavirus cases in the country has soared to 48,091 with 2,193 reported during the last 24 hours. According to National Command and Operation Center, 17,382 cases have so far been detected in Punjab, 18,964 in Sindh, 6,815 in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, 2,968 in Balochistan, 1,235 in Islamabad, 579 in Gilgit-Baltistan, and 148 in Azad Kashmir. 14,155 patients have so far recovered from the virus while the death toll stands at 1,017 with 32 new deaths reported during the past twenty-four hours.

Foreign Minister to update UNSC President on India’s possible false flag operation

Islamabad, May 21, 2020 (PPI-OT): Foreign Minister Shah Mahmood Qureshi expressed his intention to once again write a letter to President of UN Security Council to update him about India’s conspiracy in conducting a false flag operation. In a statement, he said India is hatching several conspiracies in Balochistan and was involved in carrying out terrorist activities. He said India is also against resumption of peace process in Afghanistan.
