Govt launched various projects under Public-Private Partnership: CM Sindh

Sindh Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah has said that the provincial government has started work on various mega development projects under Public-Private Partnership.

Talking to a delegation in Karachi on Wednesday, he said the Thar Coal Power Project is providing energy to the National Grid and road infrastructure has been improved.

He said the condition of hospitals has further improved and facility of free liver transplants and treatment of cancer, heart, and other diseases is available.

Govt to provide equal opportunities for promotion of business sector: President

President Dr. Arif Alvi says business environment has improved in Pakistan as a result of the government’s reforms and policies.

Talking to a delegation of Entrepreneurs’ Organization in Islamabad on Wednesday, he said the government is taking steps to provide equal opportunities for promotion of the business sector.

The President said Pakistan’s position in world rankings in ease of doing business has improved by 28 points.

He said the government announced economic package for relief of the business community during the COVID-19 pandemic.

The President said the Entrepreneurs’ Organization should play its role in enhancing Pakistan’s exports and its access to the world markets.

He said a strategy will have been adopted keeping in view the global tendencies to deal with the changing situation in world markets and to secure economic benefits.

Creating environment of peace, harmony Govt’s top priority: Punjab HR Minister

Punjab Human Rights Minister Ejaz Alam Augustine has said that creating an environment of peace and harmony is the Punjab Government’s top priority.

Addressing a consultative forum in Lahore, he ensured his full support for the protection, promotion and enforcement of human rights for making Punjab a more inclusive, tolerant, peaceful and protected society for all.

Balochistan CM reviews progress of Public Sector Development Program

Chief Minister Balochistan Jam Kamal Khan has said that no compromise will be made on quality and timely completion of all the ongoing development projects in the province.

Chairing a high level meeting to review the progress of the Public Sector Development Program (PSDP) in Quetta, he instructed the concerned officials to rationalize the long running development projects and submit a report on their progress.

He also directed the Revenue Department to compile a data of all government buildings and public assets.

Earlier, the Additional Chief Secretary Planning and Development Abdul Saboor Kakar briefed the meeting on the progress made so far on development projects.

Govt to provide better healthcare to general public at their doorsteps: KP CM

Chief Minister Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Mahmood Khan says the government is committed to provide better healthcare to the general public at their doorsteps.

Presiding over a meeting in Peshawar, he said establishment of new tertiary care hospitals in Hazara, Malakand and South region is the need of hour.

He directed the concerned authorities to identify suitable lands for establishment of such hospitals and submit formal proposals within two week time.

Mahmood Khan said establishment of new hospitals will minimize burden of patients on teaching hospitals of Peshawar.

The meeting was informed that the proposed hospitals will be established under Public Private Partnership for which land will be provided by provincial government.
