KJP, HEC launch four new schemes to engage youth in sports: Usman Dar

Kamyab Jawan Program in collaboration with Higher Education Commission has launched four new schemes worth four billion rupees to keep the youth engaged in sports and recreational activities.

This was stated by Special Assistant to the Prime Minister on Youth Affairs, Muhammad Usman Dar in a meeting with Secretary Pakistan Hockey Federation and Olympian Asif Bajwa in Islamabad.

He said recognizing the talents and dedication of the youth in the field of sports, Kamyab Jawan talent hunt and sports academies are being set up across the country.

Usman Dar said under the Talent Hunt, various sports competitions would be organized at district and national level in all provinces, including Gilgit-Baltistan and Azad Jammu and Kashmir for identification and selection of talented players and rising stars.

Recent OIC conference in Islamabad remained successful: Rashid

Interior Minister Sheikh Rashid Ahmed has said the recent OIC conference in Islamabad remained successful under the dynamic leadership of Prime Minister Imran Khan.

Talking to newsmen in Karachi on Sunday, he said the Afghan government has assured Islamabad that its soil will not be used against any other country, including Pakistan.

He expressed regret that Muslims of India are not free to perform their religious obligations due to extremists’ policies being pursued by Modi-led regime.

Replying to a question, the minister made it clear that civil and military leadership are enjoying good relations, which is healthy sign for country’s development.

Rana Shamim signed affidavit against former CJP in office of Nawaz Sharif: Fawad

Minister for Information and Broadcasting Chaudhary Fawad Hussain says former chief judge of Gilgit-Baltistan Rana Shamim signed an affidavit against former chief justice of Pakistan in the office of Nawaz Sharif.

In a tweet on Sunday, the Information Minister said Rana Shamim tried to blackmail former Chief Justice Saqib Nisar and honorable sitting judges of the Islamabad High Court.

He said new revelations have once again proved that how Sicilian mafia is capable of blackmailing institutions including the courts.

Govt introduced several programs to uplift living standards of poor: Fawad

Minister for Information and Broadcasting Chaudhry Fawad Hussain says the government has introduced several social protection programs to uplift living standards of the poor.

Talking to Radio Pakistan’s News and Current Affairs Channel, he urged the youth of the country to devise an effective strategy for execution of their plans by following the footsteps of Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah.

He said Quaid-i-Azam single handedly fought gallantly at several platforms to advocate for the cause of Pakistan, which eventually led to materialization of his dream.

Pakistan condemns Houthis’ missile strike on Saudi Arabia

Pakistan has strongly condemned the launch of hostile projectiles by Houthis towards Samtah governorate in Jazan region of Saudi Arabia that resulted in casualties, injuries and damage to civilian infrastructure.

In a statement, Foreign Office Spokesperson Asim Iftikhar said such attacks not only violate international law but also threaten peace and security of Saudi Arabia and the region.

He said Pakistan calls for immediate cessation of these attacks.

The spokesperson reaffirmed Pakistan’s full support and solidarity with Saudi Arabia against any threats to its security and territorial integrity.

Ulema, religious scholars laud Russian President Putin’s remarks

Pakistani Ulema and religious scholars have lauded Russian President Vladimir Putin’s remarks on ‘Namoose-e-Risalat’ which endorses the stance of Prime Minister Imran Khan on the issue.

The Ulema and religious scholars from across the country in a statement thanked the Russian President for his remarks.

They said the Russian President’s stance on blasphemy and Islamophobia endorses Pakistan’s stance on these issues.

The religious scholars said the statement of Vladimir Putin shows that the world is becoming aware and realizing the sensitivity of these sensitive issues.

They said time is near when the United Nations will enact legislation to contain blasphemy on Namoose-e-Mustafa (S.A.W), Islamophobia and the heavenly religions and prophets.

The Ulema appealed to Prime Minister Imran Khan to continue his struggle on the issue of Islamophobia and Namoose-e-Risalat.
