HTEC Group acquires Mistral Technologies to Expand its Engineering Base in Southeast Europe to Over 2,000 Professionals

Pakistan Army continuing rescue, relief operations in flood ravaged areas of country

Pakistan Army is continuing its rescue and relief operations in the flood ravaged areas of the country.

According to the ISPR, two hundred helicopter sorties have been flown in various areas of Pakistan to evacuate stranded people and also transport ration and medicines.

During the last twenty-four hours, 1991 stranded individuals were evacuated and 162.6 tons of relief items were delivered by Pakistan Army to flood-affected people. So far, fifty thousand individuals have been shifted to safer locations from calamity hit areas.

147 relief camps are functional round the clock in flood-affected areas of Sindh, Southern Punjab, Balochistan and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. More than sixty thousand patients have been treated.

All-out efforts being made to mitigate sufferings of flood affectees: Musadik

Minister of State for Petroleum Dr Musadik Malik says federal and provincial governments are utilizing all their resources to reduce the suffering of people to whom the devastating floods rendered homeless.

Talking to media in Islamabad on Friday, he said flood-affected people are in dire need of remedial measures as their lives and integrity is in danger.

Dr Musadik said previous government of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf ruined country’s economy. He said PTI Chief Imran Khan attempted to derail the IMF programme for Pakistan.

Flood Relief Fund to be audited by AGPR, private firm to ensure transparency: PM

Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif says government has decided to get the Prime Minister Flood Relief Fund audited by AGPR and a private audit firm of global standing.

In a tweet on Saturday, he said AGPR and a private audit firm will audit all incoming and outgoing funds including where and how the money is spent.

He said the audit reports will be made public.

PM visits flood-affected village in Ghizer

Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif visited a flood-affected village in Ghizer District of Gilgit-Baltistan on Friday.

On the occasion, he was briefed about the relief activities in Ghizer.

Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif also met with the flood victims in Ghizer district and expressed complete solidarity with them.

Meanwhile, at a ceremony at Gilgit Airport, the Prime Minister also distributed compensation cheques amongst the flood victims of Hunza Shisper Glacier.

The Prime Minister gave away cheques of eight hundred thousand rupees each to nine individuals whose houses were completely damaged and that of five hundred thousand rupees each to six victims whose houses were partially damaged in the Shisper Glacier floods.
