IG Punjab Dr. Usman Anwar’s good initiative, 1787 complaint center has been made active on Sunday for convenience of citizens 

Lahore, February 19, 2023 (PPI-OT):Inspector General Police Punjab Dr. Usman Anwar has activated the 1787 Complaint Center seven days a week for convenience of citizens and redressal of complaints without any delay. In this regard, IG Punjab Dr. Usman Anwar personally heard the complaints in Complaint Center.

In a message to the citizens and media representatives, IG Punjab Dr. Usman Anwar said that the working of 1787 Complaint Center is being improved with effective supervision and close follow-up. He said that cases have been registered on more than 7000 old applications of theft and dacoity registered by the citizens and legal actions have been initiated.

Dr. Usman Anwar said that all possible relief will be given to the citizens by taking the fastest action on these cases on the pattern of new incidents. IG Punjab said that out of the remaining 7,000 complaints of the citizens, about 5,500 have been decided while the rest are in the final stages of completion.

IG Punjab said that the 1787 Complaint Center is playing an active role in the arrest of the proclaimed offenders and the communication with the plaintiffs of the cases has been accelerated so that the anti-social elements who are hostile to the life and property of the citizens can be taken behind the bars as soon as possible. He expressed these views in his special message to the citizens on the occasion of his visit to 1787 Complaint Center today.

Dr. Usman Anwar said that citizens can call 1787 for solving their complaints and problems seven days a week. He said that today on Sunday, I myself am present in 1787 complaint cell to listen to the complaints of the citizens, while RPOs, DPOs will also be busy on Sunday to take action on the complaints of the citizens. Dr. Usman Anwar said that citizens can register complaints on 1787 to resolve their other issues including delay in registration of cases, arrest of proclaimed offenders and complaints against the police.

Prime Minister orders for providing free medical treatment to 50% poor patients at PKLI

Islamabad, February 19, 2023 (PPI-OT):Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has asked authorities concerned to pay special attention to renew the system of Pakistan Kidney and Liver Institute to provide free medical treatment to fifty percent poor people in the institute.

Chairing a meeting at Pakistan Kidney and Liver Institute in Lahore on Sunday, he expressed the need to take hepatitis prevention and treatment program under the supervision of PKLI immediately. Shehbaz Sharif directed to establish a special fund for treatment of poor patients and further emphasized on the need to allocate specific amount for this fund immediately.

In a historic move by IG Punjab, the children of martyrs have been recruited as junior clerks, constables, driver constables and other posts

Lahore, February 19, 2023 (PPI-OT):Inspector General Police Punjab Dr. Usman Anwar has said that martyrs of Punjab Police are our pride and valuable asset of the department and preferential measures are being taken for welfare and redressal of problems of martyr’s families.

In this regard, the children of police martyrs have been recruited for the posts of Junior Clerk, Constable, Driver Constable and Grade IV in the police department under a historic initiative. According to details, Appointment Letters were given by inviting 43 children of martyrs to the office and lunch was also arranged for them Among those recruited on family claim are 21 clerks, 13 class IV employees and 9 constables and driver constables.

IG Punjab congratulated the children of the martyrs for becoming a part of the Punjab Police and urged them to follow the footsteps of the martyrs and perform their duties with hard work and sincerity. IG Punjab said that all possible measures are being taken for the best welfare of the martyrs, Ghazis and employees of Punjab Police who died during duty.

It is noteworthy that an amount of 120 crore rupees have been approved by Punjab Government to settle the pending cases of families of police personnel who died during service. IG Punjab said that MoUs have also been signed for free education of children of martyrs in various educational institutions. Dr. Usman Anwar directed that the RPOs and DPOs should ensure more measures to provide all possible facilities to the families of the martyrs. He expressed these views today in the Central Police Office while talking to the children of the police martyrs and in a special message issued to the force.

IG Punjab said that these appointment letters given to the families of the martyrs are a small response in the form of gratitude from the police department and the nation in recognition of their unprecedented sacrifice. Saluting the martyrs of the police, he said that the martyrs of the Punjab police are still alive today and will remain alive forever, the Pakistani nation will never forget its brave sons.

Info Minister rejects propaganda against Pakistan’s assistance to quake-hit Turkiye 

Islamabad, February 19, 2023 (PPI-OT):Minister for Information and Broadcasting Marriyum Aurangzeb has categorically rejected the orchestrated malevolent campaign regarding earthquake humanitarian assistance being sent to Turkiye from Pakistan. In a tweet on Sunday night, she said this misleading and fabricated propaganda spread by rogue elements is a shameful attempt designed to tarnish Pakistan’s international stature.

Narendra Modi-led regime’s measures in IIOJK violating UN resolutions: APHC

Islamabad, February 19, 2023 (PPI-OT):In Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir, the All Parties Hurriyat Conference has said Narendra Modi-led regime’s measures like evicting locals from their lands and settling outsiders are in violation of the United Nations resolutions in the internationally disputed territory.

The APHC spokesman in a statement in Srinagar deplored that India is completely disregarding the Kashmiris’ right to decide their political future as per UN Security Council resolutions and instead taking measures to change the demographic composition of the occupied territory.

The Jammu and Kashmir National Conference Additional General Secretary, Sheikh Mustafa Kamal addressing party workers in Rajouri said the Bharatiya Janata Party government has pushed the Kashmiri people into an ocean of miseries. The Chairman of Dogra Swabhiman Sangathan Party, Chaudhry Lal Singh, talking to media in Jammu said the Indian authorities would not be allowed to snatch shelter and livelihood from Kashmiri people in the garb of anti-encroachment campaign.

Meanwhile, the Jammu and Kashmir National Panthers Party activists led by Harsh Dev Singh held a protest demonstration at Choka Nala on Mantalai road in Jammu against the anti-people policies of the occupation regime. The protesters cautioned the authorities to refrain from evicting the poor people from their lands. Indian troops launched a cordon and search operation in Bhatta Durrian and adjoining areas of Poonch district.

Government making all-out efforts to steer Pakistan out of crises: Rana

Islamabad, February 19, 2023 (PPI-OT):Interior Minister Rana Sanaullah says PML-N-led coalition government is trying to steer the country out of crises, while Imran Khan and his cronies are hell-bent to create political stability in Pakistan.

Addressing PML-N Workers’ Convention in Rawalpindi on Sunday afternoon, he said the PML-N has gone into the election campaign and today’s convention reflects this zeal. The Minister said we believe that elections of the National Assembly and provincial assemblies should be held simultaneously and under a caretaker set up to ensure transparency and fairness.
