Aasiya Andrabi not allowed to meet Syed Ali Gilani

Srinagar, May 19, 2013 (PPI-OT): In occupied Kashmir, the Indian police did not allow the Dukhtaran-e-Millat Chairperson, Aasiya Andrabi, to enter the residence of veteran Hurriyet leader, Syed Ali Gilani, at Hyderpora in Srinagar. Aasiya Andrabi had gone to Hyderpora to enquire about the health of Syed Ali Gilani. “Aasiya was not allowed by Indian police manning the main gate of Gilani’s residence,” said a spokesperson of Dukhtaran-e-Millat in a statement in Srinagar. She said that Aasiya then called the veteran leader over phone and despite his intervention the police did not allow her entry into his residence.

Meanwhile, Aasiya Andrabi in a statement in Srinagar said that the residence of the veteran leader had been converted into a military garrison and one could only see men in uniform in the area.
