Acting Chief Election Commissioner visits National Database and Registration Authority Headquarters

Islamabad: The Honourable Acting Chief Election Commissioner of Pakistan Mr. Justice Mian Shakirullah Jan visited NADRA Headquarters to see the process of revision of the electoral rolls being carried out by the ECP in collaboration with NADRA. His lordship observed the process of scanning of Forms-IV, V and VI, received by NADRA from Election Commission’s field offices as well as the data-entry thereof. Mr. Tariq Malik, Deputy Chairman NADRA also gave a presentation showing the progress so far made towards the scanning and data-entry of the Forms received by them.

2. The Honourable Acting CEC, after briefing from NADRA, emphasized upon the need to expedite the process of data-entry of aforesaid Forms, etc. so as to enable the ECP to finally publish the electoral rolls within the shortest possible time in compliance with the orders of the Honourable Supreme Court of Pakistan. His lordship further directed that all out efforts must be made to ensure that discrepancies therein are removed to the maximum.
