Administrator Karachi inaugurates dispensary in Supreme Court Karachi Registry

Karachi, January 06, 2014 (PPI-OT): Administrator Karachi Rauf Akhtar Farooqui has said that KMC is working to provide citizens with better public health facilities which benefits millions of people. Establishment of dispensary under Supreme Court Bar Association in Karachi Registry is inspirational.

A plan has also been made for improvement of medical dispensaries, provision of medicines and providing hospitals with latest equipments and it would be implemented effectively. He said this while inaugurating dispensary as a Chief Guest in Supreme Court Karachi Registry.

The dispensary has been established for providing lawyers with treatment facilities. On this occasion Vice President of the Supreme Court Bar Association Sadiq Hidayatullah, Executive Committee Member Abdul Wahab Baloch, Nadeem Shaikh Advocate of Justice Helpline, lawyers and city dignitaries were also present.

He said that KMC is running 100 big and small dispensaries and medical clinics including Abbasi Shaheed Hospital, Landhi Medical Complex, Sobhraj Hospital, Sarfaraz Rafiqui Shaheed Hospital, Karachi Institute of Heart Disease, Homeopathic Hospital Nazimabad and Laprocy Hospital Manghopir whereas it is the only Municipal Organization of the country under which Karachi Medical and Dental College also established.

KMC is providing citizens with services despite of limited resources and all possible efforts are being made to provide people with better medical facilities along with improving infrastructure of Karachi.

He said that people are usually on risk of infectious diseases and a comprehensive report has been prepared for its elimination which includes malaria, diarrhea, polio, dengue and congo virus.

He said that timely and constant provision of vaccine, medicines and spray along with precautionary measures are necessary but difficulties are sometimes faced due to shortage of funds. Afterwards Administrator Karachi Rauf Akhtar Farooqui visited dispensary and library of Bar and announced to provide a latest computer to computerize library books.

Vice President of Supreme Court Bar Association Sadiq Hidayatullah, Executive Committee Member Abdul Wahab Baloch and Head of Justice Helpline Nadeem Shaikh Advocate also spoke on the occasion.
