After clearance of Mohamdi Top in Kurram and Haider Kandao in Tirah Valley in ongoing operation, security forces made significant gains

Rawalpindi, June 09, 2013 (PPI-OT): After the clearance of Mohamdi Top in Kurram and Haider Kandao in Tirah Valley, in the ongoing operation, security forces made significant gains on night 6/7/8 Jun, and cleared main areas of Maidan, taking full control of heights on the central Derastani Ridge that overlooks the entire Maidan and Kuki Khel Valley.

Terrorist were also flushed out of heights of Darwazgai Kandao. In last 2 days of Operation 5 soldiers were injured and 1 embraced shahadat while 35 terrorists were killed and 15 injured.
