Ambassador Asif Durrani felicitates United Arab Emirates’ President, Vice President, Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai on hosting Islamic Economic Forum

Abu Dhabi, October 30, 2014 (PPI-OT): Ambassador of Pakistan Asif Durrani felicitated the President of the United Arab Emirates His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan and Vice President of UAE, Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum on hosting the Islamic Economic Forum. He hoped that the deliberations in the 10th World Islamic Economic Forum (WIFE) would streamline Islamic financial products to usher in a new era of growth and prosperity for Islamic countries and the World.

During participation in the WIFE forum at Dubai, Asif Durrani congratulated the World Islamic Economic Forum Foundation and Dubai Chamber for successfully holding of the 10th WIEF in Dubai. He said UAE with its financial institutions and expertise was well positioned to become a capital of global Islamic finance. He also highlighted the need for global harmonization, product standardization, regulations and integration of Halal Value Chain.

Pakistan delegation had useful interaction with other participants of the 10th WIEF including, Malaysia, Indonesia, Bangladesh, Oman, Saudi Arabia, top officials of the Islamic Development Bank (IDB), and IMF. Dr. Faisal Aziz, Deputy Head of Mission, Embassy of Pakistan, Abu Dhabi and Dr. Saeed Mangi Commercial Counsellor, Consulate General of Pakistan, Dubai also participated in the 10th WIEF.
