Ambassador of Finland visits Trade Development Authority of Pakistan

Karachi, November 12, 2014 (PPI-OT): MR. Rauli Suikkanen, Ambassador of Finland, visited TDAP HQs Karachi on 11 – 11 – 2014 to hold meeting with Mr. S. M. Muneer, C.E. TDAP, Ms. Rabiya Javeri Agha, Secretary TDAP and other senior officers of TDAP to promote trade relations between both the countries.

Mr. S. M. Muneer, Chief Executive TDAP, welcome the distinguished guest along with his team and highlighted the trade potential between both the countries especially in the field of I.T. and Engineering.

Ms. Rabiya Javeri Agha, Secretary TDAP, apprised that there is great potential of trade between both the countries and Pakistan may get benefit from the expertise of Finland in the fields of I.T., Paper, Mining and other engineering related fields.

MR. Rauli Suikkanen, Ambassador of Finland, thanked C.E. and Secretary TDAP for the meeting and communicated that promotion of trade and economic relations with Pakistan is high on the agenda of this meeting. He disclosed that they are organizing trade events / seminar in Islamabad and subsequently Lahore in the month of February 2015 with the help of Pak – Finland Trade Council.

Mr. S. M. Muneer, C.E. TDAP, invited them to participate in Expo Pakistan 2015 scheduled to be held from 26th February 2014. It was agreed that delegation of Finland will visit Expo Pakistan 2015 and subsequently TDAP will send a trade delegation to Finland to further enhance the trade ties.

Ms. Rabiya Javeri Agha, Secretary TDAP, briefed the guests about the success of “Aalishan Pakistan New Delhi” and informed that the next edition of the event will be held in Dubai in first quarter of 2015. TDAP also extended invitation to send delegation of Finland businessmen to attend the event and hold b2b meetings with Pakistani businessmen at Dubai. The meeting concluded on positive note and souvenirs were exchanged.
