Anti Narcotics Task Force seize 662 Kgs of Hashish and 1.1 Kgs of Heroin In two different operations

Karachi, September 03, 2013 (PPI-OT): In continuation to zero tolerance on Narcotics as directed by Director General Anti Narcotics Force, ANF during a road-check has recovered 662 Kgs of Hashish at Sukkur and 1.1 Kgs of Heroin at Peshawar Airport. According to details, ANF spot-check Team was deployed at Shikarpur Road, near Physical Education College Sukkur. Meanwhile, a Mazda Truck registered No. TKR-831 came to the site. Detailed inspection resulted in recovery of 662 Kgs of Hashish, concealed in secret cavities of the vehicle. A persons namely Mumtaz Ali S/O Jhungal resident of Shikarpur has been arrested.

In another operation at Peshawar Airport, ANF recovered 1.1 Kgs of Heroin concealed in improvised cavities inside 2 Cricket Bats. The passenger Iqbal s/o Mughal Khan resident of Tehsil Tangi, District Charsada has been arrested. He was to take-off by Flight No NL-786 to Dubai.

Cases have been registered at ANF Police Stations and further investigations are under process. It is pertinent to mention here, that ANF is carrying out wide-ranging operations throughout the country. Recent recoveries are continuation of ANF pledge to curb drug menace.
