Anti Narcotics Task Force seizes 278 kgs of heroin

Karachi, May 03, 2013 (PPI-OT): Anti Narcotics Force in continuation of its war against Narcotics / Drugs recovered huge quantity of Heroin. Anti Narcotics Force, on receipt of information that some international drug traffickers have brought huge quantity of Heroin from Afghanistan and dumped in the area of Junejo Town, Karachi and will try to smuggle abroad at some appropriate time.

On confirmation of the information, a raid was conducted at House No. 92/93, Sector-2/J-6, Jonejo Town, Karachi. In result of successful operation Anti Narcotics Force recovered 278 Kgs of Heroin from the house.

Recovered heroin was concealed in plastic cans and plastic bags. One accused person namely Kaleem Akhtar s/o Babul al r/o Karachi has been arrested on the spot, case under CNS Act-1997 have been registered against the accused persons. Further investigation is in progress. Efforts are in hand to arrest the associates of accused person
