Islamabad: In a trail-blazing event for a steadily increasing Pakistani community in Malaysia, the newly-formed Pakistani Students Association (PSA) held the first-ever concert at the famous Hall of Fame of the Limkokwing University in Cyberjaya-suburbs of Kuala Lumpur, says a press release received here today from Malaysia.
The weekend event drew a crowd of 500 students and their families who enjoyed the Coke Studio fame Bilal Khan as well as a brilliant array of songs and dances performed by Pakistani students studying in various universities among applause and jubilant cries of ‘Pakistan Zindabad’.
Bilal Khan who has earned fame and popularity among Pakistani youth following the release of his debut video song ‘Bachana’ last year, entertained the audience for more than two hours. Acting High Commissioner for Pakistan in Malaysia, Dr. Imtiaz A Kazi was the chief guest on the occasion which was also attended by embassy officers and officials.
Earlier, Dr. Imtiaz A Kazi, Acting High Commissioner for Pakistan in Malaysia congratulated the Pakistan Students Association for hosting the event and hoped that such programmes which promote the soft image of the country will be held in future. He exhorted the students to excel in their studies and act as true ambassadors of their country in everything they did during their stay in Malaysia. He assured PSA of the High Commission’s full support to academic and cultural activities of the Pakistani Students Association.
