Karachi, October 01, 2014 (PPI-OT): The 9th Annual General Meeting [AGM] of the Bin Qasim Association of Trade and Industry (BQATI) held recently at BQATI Secretariat. The meeting was presided over by Mr. Amin Ali Muhammed Dawood, President Bin Qasim Association of Trade and Industry (BQATI) he addressed to the well-attended BQATI AGM.
He said that Bin Qasim is the only industrial zone of Pakistan who has planned and organised industrial zone and “if the government gave little bit attention it could be a model Industrial Zone of Pakistan.” He elaborated that the BQATI is the primary forum for these organizations to collaborate and address issues or challenges faced by them in carrying out their operations.
On the occasion Mian Muhammed Ahmed, Patron In-chief briefed that the BQATI is actively pursuing to implement effective security measures for Bin Qasim Industrial Zones, in collaboration with the PQA, Pakistan Rangers, Police, and CPLC. Earlier, Mr. Abdur Rehman Ismail Secretary General, BQATI announced the results of members of the Managing Committee as well as office bearers.
The following were declared elected Mr. Abdul Rasheed Jan Mohammad, President; Mr. Muhammad Rasheed, Senior Vice President and Mr. Parvez Ghias, Vice President. Mr. Iftikhar Ahmed, Mr. Hussain Agha, Mr. Noman Yakoob, Mr. Jahangir Piracha, and Mr. Haider Amin, Members of Managing Committee.
The newly elected office bearers and member Managing Committee were inducted into their respective offices at the AGM. The General Body, in addition to confirmation of minutes of last year AGM, adopted the Annual Report, approved the accounts and appointed auditor for the current year 2014-15.
Mr. Abdul Rasheed Jan Mohammad newly elected President, BQATI thanked and welcomed all BQATI members who attended the AGM, hoped that the newly elected Office Bearers and Managing Committee will work together to achieve the BQATI objectives and goals to create a business friendly industrial zone.
