Govt committed to make Naya Pakistan on principles of Riyasat-i-Madina: Dr. Firdous

Special Assistant to Prime Minister on Information and Broadcasting Dr Firdous Ashiq Awan has assured that government is committed to make Naya Pakistan a country on the principles of Riyasat-i-Madina.

Addressing the All Pakistan Naat Competition at National Broadcasting House in Islamabad on Thursday, she said personality and life of our prophet Muhammad (PBUH) is a guideline for us.

She said Prime Minister is determined to make Pakistan a welfare state to uplift the general masses.

The Special Assistant said Pakistan, Turkey and Malaysia will jointly establish a TV channel to promote real face of Islam before the world.

She said such gatherings provide us an opportunity to end hatred and spread love.

Dr Firdous Ashiq Awan said our faith is incomplete without believing in Muhammad PBUH as last prophet of God.

She urged the private media to follow the footsteps of Radio Pakistan and PTV by arranging such programmes to promote national thought.

The Special Assistant also congratulated Radio Pakistan and PTV for arranging Naat competition every year.

The Special Assistant said Radio Pakistan has been arranging this event since 1983 to highlight different aspects of life of Holy Prophet Hazrat Muhammad (PBUH). She urged youth to study the life of the Holy Prophet to adopt the living style according to the Quran and Sunnah.

She said Muslims can reach to God only following the noble steps of the Last Messenger (PBUH).

She said Radio Pakistan and PTV have an important role in the development of modern media. She said these two institutions are also playing imperative role to end hatred.

The Special Assistant said that the government is working to eliminate corruption from the country under the leadership of Prime Minister Imran Khan and it is committed to uplift the living standards of the people.

In the end, Religious Minister Dr Noor-ul-Haq Qadri, Special Assistant to Prime Minister on Information Dr Firdous Ashiq Awan and Director General Pakistan Broadcasting Corporation Samina Waqar distributed cash prizes to top three position holders and other competitors.

According to results, first prize under 15 years boys category was given to Muhammad Maarij Amjad from Balochistan, 2nd prize to Saqib Muhiyyudin from Punjab while the 3rd prize to Syed Ahmad Raza from Islamabad Capital Territory, Gilgit Baltistan and Azad Kashmir.

In the category of girls under 15 Mueeza Batool from Khyber Pakhtunkhwa got first prize, Aila Gul Agha from Sindh 2nd while Laiba Rafeeq fron Punjab got 3rd prize.

In the category of girls 15-25 years Alina Tariq from Punjab got first prize, Darain Gohar from Khyber Pakhtunkhwa 2nd while Hafiza Eisha from Sindh got 3rd prize.

In the category of girls 15-25 years Ansa Alina Tariq from Punjab got first prize, Ansa Darain Gohar from Sindh 2nd while Ansa Hafiza Eisha got 3rd prize.

The cash prizes of 50,000 rupees, 40,000 rupees, and 30000 rupees to first, second and third position holders respectively.

All the other participants got 20,000 rupees each as cash prize.

The event was attended by a large number of people belonging to all walks of life.

The programme was broadcast live on Radio Pakistan's Medium Wave and FM-93, FM-94 and FM-101 networks and PTV. It will be rebroadcast on these channels in the morning of 12th Rabi-ul-Awwal.
