Leader of All Pakistan Paper Merchants Association and Lahore Chamber of Commerce and Industry body’s member urges private sector to explore markets of Turkey, United Kingdom and Germany
Lahore, May 14, 2013 (PPI-OT): Leader of All Pakistan Paper Merchants Association (APPMA) and LCCI Executive Committee Member Khamis Saeed Butt has urged the private sector to further explore the markets of Turkey, United Kingdom and Germany where huge potential exists for Pakistani quality products.
Khamis Saeed Butt was on 12-day visit of Turkey, UK and Germany as head of an 18-member delegation of APPMA. Other members of the delegation were include Qayyum Raza, Muhammad Bashir, Malik Ahad Amin, Mian Amjad Hussain, Syed Zahid Bukhari, Waheed Ahmad Sheikh, Imran Ajmal; Zahid Maqsood Butt, Muhammad Rizwan, Rana Muhammad Zubair, Faisal Aftab Sheikh, Mian Saqib Ali, Sheikh.
Khamis Saeed Butt said that it was high time that Pakistan should enhance its trade and economic relations with these countries.
He said that people of Turkey, UK and Germany in general and businessmen in particular are very positive about Pakistan and they have shown keen interest in enhancing bilateral trade with Pakistan.
He said that if duty free import of paper is allowed from these countries, it would promote education sector in Pakistan and would also end monopoly of local paper millers.
He told that the APPMA delegation visited Istanbul Chamber of Commerce and Industry, UK Pakistan Chamber of Commerce and Industry, London Book Fair, Offen Bach Chamber of Commerce and Industry and had one-to-one meetings with their counterparts.
Khamis Saeed Butt paid rich tributes to the Pakistani Consulate in Instanbul Dr. Yousaf Junaid, Pakistani High Commissioner in London Wajid Shamsul Hassan, Pakistani Consulate in Frankfurt Dr. Imtiaz Qazi and LCCI office-bearers for extending their best cooperation to the APPMA delegation.
