Karachi, April 10, 2015 (PPI-OT): A three member delegation of the “Pakistan Electric Fan Manufacturers Association” (PEFMA) led by Mr. M. Azhar Aslam, Chairman, PEFMA met with Mr. S. M Muneer, Chief Executive of TDAP. Chairman PEFMA along with members from M/s. Royal Fans and M/s. GFC Fans, two of the leading fan manufacturing and exporting companies from Pakistan, had detailed discussions with the Chief Executive, TDAP regarding various problems related to the manufacturing and export of Electric Fans from Pakistan.
It was mutually agreed that there is an urgent need for the establishment of accredited laboratories and certification bodies for the fan industry in Pakistan to meet international quality and market access requirements.
The PEFMA members also suggested measures that the government should take to help the Electric Fan industry with special emphasis on facilitative role of the TDAP with other regulatory authorities. The TDAP Chief assured full support to the PEFMA members for improving their marketing and supply sides and for pleading their cases with other relevant agencies. The PEFMA members also requested to include few international exhibitions in TDAP’s exhibitions calendar and for sending delegations to some countries for marketing of fan industry products.
The CE, TDAP assured PEFMA members about his personal commitment towards bringing about a quantum jump in Pakistan’s exports and highlighted the potential of electric fan industry. The PEFMA members expressed their resolve to double fan industry exports over the next two years from their existing level of around USD 40 million.
