Pakistan’s Liquid Foreign Reserves Position

Karachi, February 22, 2018 (PPI-OT): The total liquid foreign reserves held by the country stood at US$18,828.7 million on 16 February 2018. The break-up of the foreign reserves position is as under:-

i) Foreign reserves held by the State Bank of Pakistan: US$ 12,703.7 million

ii) Net foreign reserves held by commercial banks: US$ 6,125.0 million

iii) Total liquid foreign reserves: US$ 18,828.7 million

During the week ending 16 February 2018, SBP’s reserves decreased by US$130 million to US$12,704 million, due to external debt servicing and other official payments.
