Sialkot, December 23, 2019 (PPI-OT): Chaudhry Muhammad Akhlaq, Provincial Minister of Punjab for Special Education visited Sialkot Chamber of Commerce and Industry. Mr. Muhammad Ashraf Malik, President SCCI welcomed the Provincial Minister and said that undoubtedly the Country was facing serious economic challenges. “We strongly believe that our leadership not only well versed with the current challenges but also was much capable to overcome the prevailed challenges”, he added.
Mr. Muhammad Ashraf Malik, President SCCI during the meeting invited the attention of the Provincial Minister in the issues and proposals including Sialkot Special Economic Zone, regularization issue of industrial Units in Small Industrial Estate, Sialkot, elimination of heavy transfer fee imposed from Punjab Small Industries Corporation (PSIC) on transfer of plots in Export Processing Zone (EPZ), approval of PC-1 for construction in EPZ works RKR. 368.23 million, exclusion of exporters to be registered as withholding Agents form Punjab Sales Tax Services Act, pending completion of Shahbaz Purr Bridge, Construction and maintenance of Sialkot-Wazirabad road, construction of Sialkot-Pasrur Road, early completion of remaining development work at Sublime Chowk, allocation of funds for under construction flyover at Saga Chowk and funds for different development work around the City.
“Chaudhry Muhammad Akhlaq, is a son of the soil and also belongs to the business community of Sialkot, he understands the issues in a better way”, the President quoted. He hoped that the Provincial Minister would definitely strive hard in order to resolve the issues of the people of Sialkot.
Chaudhry Muhammad Akhlaq, Provincial Minister while addressing to the business community of Sialkot said that he would try his level best to resolve all the issues creating hurdles in uplift the exports of the country and convey the same to Sardar Usman Buzdar, Chief Minister Punjab. He informed that for Sialkot Pasrur Road tender had been called and the project had been included in the Annual Development Plan (ADP) and in the start of 2020, construction work would be in progress. He also said that suggestions for Provincial Budget 2020-21 is under process and requested that Sialkot Chamber should send its proposals to the Government of Punjab so that it could be included in the next Budget.
