Islamabad, April 08, 2014 (PPI-OT): Capital Development Authority (CDA) is determined to get back the possession of its land in adverse possession. CDA is taking consistent and proactive steps to get the possession of its land, which is under illegal possession, without any favour and fear.
On the directions of Chairman CDA, Mr. Maroof Afzal, the Enforcement and Environment directorates along with the surveyors of Land Directorate are engaged in demarcation of CDA land in Bahara Kahu, Banni Galla and Malpur areas. These directorates have been directed to work without discrimination and take all the necessary steps, according to the law and without any fear or favour, to get back all CDA land.
Following the directions of Chairman CDA, the Enforcement and Environment directorates, after demarcation are busy in demolishing all kind of illegally erected structures and buildings on CDA land. They are also installing barbed wires on demarcated CDA land so the encroachers shall not step in again.
These directorates of CDA, during the last three days, after the demarcation has demolished two (2) buildings, six (6) houses, eleven (11) block factories, two (2) nurseries, two (02) shops and one (1) hotel in the Bahara Kaho are.
Similarly, thirty (30) kanal of CDA land has been retrieved from various encroachers in Banni Galla area where lawns, water tanks were constructed. In addition to above, in Malpur area CDA has retrieved 30 kanals of CDA land which was under the possession of illegal encroachers and has demolished all illegally constructed structures.
Chairman CDA, Mr. Maroof Afzal himself visited the area of operation and directed the concerned officer to continue this operation with new vigour and zeal till the retrieval of every inch of CDA land from illegal encroachers.
