Cement exports value rise in 1QFY13 – Alfalah Securities Limited

Karachi, October 25, 2012 (PPI-OT): Cement exports value in USD have witnessed a growth of 42.35% amounting to USD 146.321 million during 1QFY13 as compared to the same period last year however the exports in terms of quantity recorded a drop of 12% YoY to 1,899,791 MT in 1QFY13, according to the data released by the Pakistan Bureau of Statistics (PBS).

According to Alfalah Securities Limited, the cement sector is likely to perform well due to stable profits although the dispatches are likely to slow down in 2QFY13 due to winter season where construction activities slow down.
