Certificates to non-Kashmiris violation of UN resolutions: Sardar Masood Khan

Islamabad, December 25, 2016 (PPI-OT):The President of Azad Jammu and Kashmir, Sardar Masood Khan has said, India’s decision to grant identity/nativity status to the so-called West Pakistan Refugees (non-Kashmiri Hindus) is a clear violation of the UN Security Council Resolutions on Jammu and Kashmir.

While condemning the action the President maintained that the Kashmiris were gravely concerned over this development because this was a nefarious design to change the demographic composition of the territory. This is a step to settle non-Kashmiris in the territory and give them voting and other rights to alter Jammu and Kashmir’s demographic map, he added. Sardar Masood Khan pointed out the the PDP-BJP regime in IOK was taking a dangerous step that would further destabilise the situation.

He emphasised that this was being done in the midst of brutal and massive killings and blindings of Kashmiris. The people of Kashmir and Pakistan sought a peaceful solution of the Kashmir dispute through dialogue. The President maintained that such moves would further push the youth in Kashmir to the brink in their struggle for the right to self-determination.
