Chairman Institute of Strategic Studies calls on Prime Minister Gilani

Islamabad: Prime Minister Syed Yusuf Raza Gilani has said that Pakistan is a responsible state and believes in peaceful coexistence in the region. He maintained that Government has always encouraged the research work of various institutions that provide useful information that help in improving the policies of the Government.

While talking to Ambassador ® Gul Haneef, Chairman Institute of Strategic Studies, who called on him at Prime Minister’s House today, the Prime Minister observed, that as a think tank, Institute of Strategic Studies should provide researched material to the Government on foreign policy issues.

The Prime Minister said that the Government will provide all possible support to make the institute of Strategic Studies more effective and research oriented. He asked the Chairman to reconstitute the Board of Governors of Institute of Strategic Studies and engage the best minds.

Ambassador ® Gul Haneef thanked the Prime Minister for reposing confidence in him and also sought his guidance and patronage of the Government in conducting research on various international and regional issues.
