Chairman Joint Chiefs of Staff Committee calls on Sultan of Brunei

Rawalpindi: Chairman Joint Chiefs of Staff Committee (CJCSC), General Khalid Shameem Wynne, who is on a three day official visit to Brunei Darussalam, today had an audience with His Majesty General Haji Sir Hassan al-Bolkiah the Sultan of Brunei. Chairman conveyed good wishes of the people and Armed forces of Pakistan to His Majesty and appreciated all the support extended to Pakistan by the brotherly Muslim country. Earlier Chairman called on the Deputy Defence Minister, His Excellency Dato Haji Mustapha, both leaders exchanged views on issues of mutual interest.

Later Chairman called on General Dato Paduka Seri Haji Aminuddin, Commander Royal Brunei Armed Forces. Both dignitaries exchanged views on matters of mutual interest and ways to enhance the existing defence cooperation between the two armed forces. Chairman also visited Defence Academy of Royal Brunei Armed Forces and was given a briefing on national security perspective of Brunei.
