Chairman Senate Muhammad Sadiq Sanjrani message on ‘World Water Day’

Islamabad, March 22, 2023 (PPI-OT): Chairman Senate Muhammad Sadiq Sanjrani in his message on ‘World Water Day’ reiterated that “Saving water today is saving our Future”. He stated that Pakistan has excellent water canal system, however, there is need to promote justified use of water at domestic and agricultural levels. He cautioned underground water resources are depleting. A well maintained and well structured water management system is the need of the hour to help conserve water and ensure its efficient and justified use.

Chairman Senate maintained that water is a precious asset and the purpose of celebrating World Water Day was to create awareness among the people about the importance and need and usefulness of water.

Muhammad Sadiq Sanjrani claimed that Pakistan is ranked 14th among the 17th extremely high water risk countries of the world and Pakistan needs to take sustainable water management measures to secure water for the future.
