Chairman Water and Power Development Authority presides over meeting of Selection Board for promotion of officers

Lahore, April 03, 2013 (PPI-OT): Taking notice of the stuck up promotions of officers for quite a long time, Chairman WAPDA Syed Raghib Abbas Shah presided over a meeting of Senior Selection Board as per his promise for taking up the promotions on priority.

The meeting, held here at WAPDA House, was attended by Managing Director Pakistan Electric Power Company (PEPCO), Chief Executive Officers of Power Distribution Companies (DISCOs) as well as Generation Companies (GENCOs) and Managing Director National Transmission and Despatch Company (NTDC).

A total of 257 officers were recommended for promotion. These promotions included from Chief Engineer (Non Generation / Thermal Generation) to the rank of General Manager (Non Generation / Thermal Generation), Deputy General Manager (Finance) to the rank of General Manager (Finance), Superintending Engineer (Telecom) to the rank of Chief Engineer (Telecom) and Senior Engineer (Non Generation / Thermal Generation) to the rank of Superintending Engineer (Non Generation / Thermal Generation).
