Chief Executive Officer Small and Medium Enterprises Development Authority reviews proposals for early revival of its operation

Lahore, May 10, 2013 (PPI-OT): An emergent meeting of the Small and Medium Enterprises Development Authority (SMEDA) held here today at Women Business Incubation Center, DHA with its CEO Sardar Ahmad Nawaz Sukhera in Chair, in which “Fatiha” was offered for the persons who were killed in the fire incident at LDA Plaza yesterday.

Mr. Khurram Khan, GM-Central Support, Mr. Sultan Tiwana, GM-BDS, Mr. Alamgir Chaudhry, GM-Outreach, Dr. Nasir Ghauri, GM-Policy and Planning and a number of the other officials attended the meeting.

CEO SMEDA reviewed various proposals for an early revival of SMEDA’s operation. In order to resume the official work immediately after election, WBIC premises situated at 156 Y-Block, phase-III, DHA was declared to be a temporary head office of SMEDA.

Meanwhile, working committees were instituted to make necessary arrangements on emergency basis for recovering the serviceable assets from LDA Plaza and setting up the temporary offices of SMEDA head office at WBIC premises. CEO SMEDA advised the CS division of SMEDA to take the quickest possible initiatives for revival of SMEDA’s official operation by early next week. Mr. Khurram Khan, GM-Central Support assured to meet the deadline and advised his team to continue work even on Saturday and Sunday.
