Chief Minister Sindh calls on Prime Minister

Islamabad, May 17, 2013 (PPI-OT): Justice (R) Zahid Qurban Alvi, Chief Minister Sindh, called on Prime Minister Justice (R) Mir Hazar Khan Khoso at the Prime Minister’s House this morning and briefed him about the arrangements made by the provincial government to maintain law and order during the election process.

Appreciating the efforts made by the provincial government for holding of free, fair and peaceful elections in the province, the Prime Minister said that Pakistan had achieved a huge democratic milestone through the holding of these elections.

The Prime Minister observed that the massive turn out in the elections was a testimony that the caretaker government was successful in instilling confidence among the people of Pakistan.

The Prime Minister said that these elections have also demonstrated that overwhelming majority of Pakistanis believe in participatory form of government.

The Prime Minister also appreciated the role of the law enforcement agencies and all those associated with them for their efforts for the holding of general elections in the country.
