Chief of Army Staff visits Punjab Regimental Centre Mardan

Rawalpindi, January 12, 2016 (PPI-OT): General Raheel Sharif, Chief of Army Staff visited Punjab Regimental centre Mardan today. Lieutenant General Shahid Baig Mirza, Military Secretary was installed Colonel Commandant of Punjab Regiment. General Raheel Sharif, COAS pinned the badges of rank at a ceremony held at Punjab Regimental Centre, Mardan. Later COAS also interacted with veterans, Commanders, soldiers of the regiment and relatives of Shahuada.

COAS also met Mr Taimoor Khan, eldest son of Lance Naik retired Pervaz Khan who embraced shahadat on 29 Dec 15 at NADRA office Mardan while stopping a suicide bomber from entering inside NADRA office which Saved many precious lives. COAS appreciated the courage displayed by Lance Naik retired Pervaz Shaheed and assured full support to bereaved family.
