Commissioner Karachi presides meeting regarding Yum Hazrat Ali arrangements

Karachi, May 24, 2019 (PPI-OT): Commissioner Karachi Iftikhar Shallwani held a high level meeting to review the arrangements of security, development works and facilities provided to the main processions on Yum Hazrat Ali on 21st Ramzan at his office here today. Commissioner Karachi Iftikhar Shalwani reviewed the individual progress of issues of every deptt, security arrangements by police and facilitate the main procession by the district administration respectively with the close coordination of supervisors of main processions and help of district focal persons.

He has said that DG Rangers and he himself held meetings in this regard prior to the day, now all stakeholders here to brief their issues and resolve it on priority through close coordination of each other and contact with respective FPs to facilitate traditionally main procession in appropriate manner with full proof security by the police, rangers, district administration and other law enforcing agencies in this regard by removing all bottlenecks and improve the civic agencies work on priority basis.

The Commissioner Karachi asked the respective civic agencies KE, KW and SB, KMC/DMCs, Solid Waste, Police etc. to work and perform in the field, now, No use of holding meetings in offices but actively participate in the task and complete it by all means to facilitate main procession and all religious gathering in relation to yum Hazrat Ali etc. and to ensure all pending and remaining things in their respective jurisdictions at all level without fail to fill the gap positively and comprehensively.

The Commissioner Karachi will also visit the new change route of main procession with all coordination team of officials and organizers tomorrow (Saturday Nay 25th) in afternoon to personally inspect and on spot directed the concerned to provide and fulfill all short comings if any. He also announced that as decided we would facilitate main procession with 3 sabeels by Rangers, Police and district administration respectively at designate points set by the organizers.

Emergency control room at respective DCs have already been established to review the overall situation during the yum Hazrat Ali. All civic agencies would also remain alert and vigil in their service points round the clock. The Commissioner Karachi has also directed all DCs to take precautionary steps as the announcement of heat wave was made to save the people, proper arrangements may be made during the day and after that regularly on priority, he concluded.
