Compressed Natural Gas stations to remain open in Punjab for five days

Rawalpindi, July 25, 2014 (PPI-OT): The All Pakistan CNG Association (APCNGA) on Friday said Compressed Natural Gas (CNG) would be available across the stretch of Punjab for twenty fours a day for five days during Eid Holidays.

Government has already issued notification for uninterrupted supply of natural gas to all CNG filling stations in Punjab from Monday 28 July to Saturday, said Central Chairman of APCNGA Pervaiz Khan Khattak. He welcomed the decision saying that it will help masses get affordable transportation facility while the CNG stations facing losses will get some help in recovery.

Pervaiz Khattak said that weather is normalising and rains has reduced electricity demand therefore gas allocated for the CNG sector should be given to the same sector. He hoped that government will reconsider existing load management schedule after Eid to benefit masses and CNG operators.
