Crack down against sub-standards / illegal manufacturing

Karachi, August 07, 2019 (PPI-OT): As per directives of Director General, PSQCA Mr. Abdul Aleem Memon, PSQCA team cracked down against Illegal / Sub-Standards Products of Bottled Drinking Water / R.O. Plants and seized at the spot. During the crackdown launched by Conformity Assessment, PSQCA Karachi Zone against illegal production of Bottled Drinking water the BDW plant of M/s. D.J Water situated at Plot No. C-63, Shadman Town, Malir Colony, Karachi “DJ Crystal” brand (including 19 Litre were found at the unit) was seized and notice of illegal production was issued on the spot. The above unit was involved in illegal manufacturing, stock and sale of bottled drinking water, without having CM License from PSQCA and therefore, it was seized as per SRO 638(1)/2001 of Bottled Drinking Water and PSQCA Act VI of 1996.

The Director General, PSQCA Mr. Abdul Aleem Memon said that surveillance team were striving to trace Sub-Standard Products and illegal manufacturers of Bottled Drinking Water and Strict action would be taken against the companies if they were found preparing sub-standard products/water.
