Curfew continues in Kishtwar

Srinagar, August 14, 2013 (PPI-OT): In occupied Kashmir, curfew continued in Kishtwar town for the sixth consecutive day, today. The puppet authorities said that they had decided against giving any relaxation in curfew in Kishtwar town on Tuesday and would continue the same on Wednesday too.

Media reports said that people in the town were facing massive shortage of essential supplies because of indefinite curfew. In other seven districts of Jammu region affected by communal riots, curfew continued for the fifth day after periodic relaxations on Tuesday.

Meanwhile, the Indian police have arrested 11 people from Kishtwar and 120 others from different parts of Jammu region for their role in the incitement of communal hatred. On the other hand, mobile Internet services remained suspended for the fourth day, today, across the occupied territory.
