Death of Three Pakistani workers in Emirates – Ambassador Jamil Ahmed Khan directs Embassy staff for early dispatch of dead bodies to Pakistan

Abu Dhabi, May 09, 2013 (PPI-OT): Ambassador of Pakistan to the UAE, Jamil Ahmed Khan, has given direction to his Community Welfare Attache for early dispatch of dead bodies of the three Pakistani workers died of fire, to Pakistan. Expressing deep sadness at the tragic incident, the Ambassador also tasked the embassy staff to contact heirs and relatives of the deceased for early finalization of compensation, and asked them to fulfill all procedural formalities immediately.

The fire that broke out on 7th May in the 10-floor residential building near the junction of Airport Road and 13th Street killed three and injured eight people. The three killed were Pakistani workers named Wali Marjan, Mubarik Ali Khan and Shanar Gul.

The Embassy is also in contact with the concerned local authorities to ascertain the cause of fire and is completing necessary documentation for compensation to the victims’ families.

The Embassy is making all out efforts to transport the dead bodies to Pakistan by first available Pakistan International Airlines’ flight.
