Defence Authority SKBZ College organize Bilingual Declamation Contest – Defence Authority SKBZ College

Karachi, February 06, 2014 (PPI-OT): Defence Authority SKBZ College organized Karachi Bilingual Declamation Contest here today. Ms. Barbara Wickham, Director Sindh and Baluchistan at British Council Karachi was the chief guest of the function.

All the leading universities and colleges sent two teams to participate in declamation. They spoke on various topics given by the Jewry, almost 34 students at together adorned the contest through their thought provoking speeches.

Ms. Barbara expressed satisfaction and appreciated the efforts of teachers, parents and all other concerned people. She also appreciated the standards of declamation which students have made specially in English as international language.

Earlier Brig Shahid Saleem Loan (R) Principal of DA SKBZ College in his welcome address said that the college provided intellectually vibrant and academically sound environment to develop all round confident personalities of young people, so they can face the challenges in their future life successfully.

In the English Declamation Contest Habib Public School grabbed the 1st position Reflection School was declared 2nd while Defence Authority Model High School Ph-IV won the 3rd position.

In the Urdu Declamation Contest 1st was won by Defence Authority Model High School Phase-VIII, Defence Authority Model High School Ph-IV got the 2nd position while Defence Authority Model High School Beachview as declared 3rd position. Overall trophy of the Declamation Contest was given to Habib Public School.

The winning trophy was awarded to Habib Public School as both participants total score made them clinch the trophy.

In the end the chief guest distributed certificates and shields among the participants of the declamation contest. The Principal of the College presented an honorary shield to the chief guest.
