Islamabad: Prime Minister Syed Yusuf Raza Gilani has said that Pakistan’s geo-political location and availability of abundant raw material and skilled manpower offer attractive investment prospects. He further said that the government has formulated business friendly policies to encourage investment in all fields. He mentioned that there are bright prospects of investment in agro-based, engineering and energy sectors in Pakistan.
The Prime Minister was talking to an eight members delegation of Pakistan Investor Forum led by Mr. Hijab Gul who called on him at PM’s House here this afternoon.
The Prime Minister stated that the government has taken a number of measures to provide better counsellor facilities to the Pakistani businessmen working abroad. He stressed upon the need that the Pakistan businessmen in the foreign countries should make concerted efforts for preferred employment of Pakistani skilled workers. He said that our businessmen are ambassador of Pakistan and they should try to create better image of the country.
The delegation discussed investment prospects as well as joint ventures with local companies during the meeting. They also discussed matters relating to counsellor service in Pakistan missions abroad.
Other members of the delegation included Mr. Mumtaz Akhtar Kahloon, Chaudhry Mohammad Yousuf Ibrahim, Engr. Sajjad Anwar and Mr. Salman Arain.
