Delegations from textiles, leather, hosiery, towel manufacturing sectors call on PM

Delegations from textiles, leather, hosiery, and towel manufacturing sectors called on Prime Minister Imran Khan in Karachi on Wednesday.

They apprised the Prime Minister and his economic team of the problems in their respective sectors.

The Prime Minister directed the ministers concerned and Chairman FBR to resolve the issues of these sectors on early basis.

The delegation of textiles sector comprised of Zahid Mazhar, Zain Bashir, Fawad Anwar, Umer Haji Karim and Tariq Saud.

The delegation of leather sector was represented by Kamran Habib and Sheikh Muhammad Imran.

Hosiery sector delegation included Javed Balwani, Umair Ghulam Muhammad, Altaf Hussain and Bashir Ghaffar.

The towel manufacturing sector was led by Farrukh Maqbool, Moeen Razzaq, Khalid Iqbal and Mehtab uddin Chawla.

Governor Sindh Imran Ismail, Minister for Maritime Affairs Ali Zaidi, Minister for Economic Affairs Hammad Azhar, Minister for Water Resources Faisal Vawda, Advisor on Finance Dr. Abdul Hafeez Shaikh, Adviser on Institutional Reforms Dr. Ishrat Hussain, Chairman FBR Syed Shabbar Zaidi, Chairman Board of Investment Syed Zubair Haider Gilani, Governor State Bank Dr. Baqir Reza and Ambassador for Foreign Investment Ali Jahangir Siddiqui were also present in the meeting.
