Delhi court to pass order on plea seeking FIR against Gilani

Srinagar, February 09, 2014 (PPI-OT): A Delhi court has fixed February 19 for pronouncing its order on a plea seeking registration of an FIR against the veteran Kashmiri Hurriyet leader, Syed Ali Gilani, and three others Hurriyet leaders in a false case against them. Metropolitan Magistrate, Vijeta Singh, reserved the order after hearing the arguments advanced by the two complainants.

The complainants had claimed that Syed Ali Gilani had on several occasions “threatened the safety and security of government of India and its citizens” by delivering hate speeches. The complaint had also sought lodging of FIR against Hurriyet leaders, Muhammad Ashraf Sehrai, Masarrat Aalam Butt and Ghulam Nabi Sumjhi.
