Deputy Chairman Senate Senator Saleem Mandviwala felicitates Chinese President

Islamabad, March 17, 2018 (PPI-OT): Deputy Chairman Senate Senator Saleem Mandviwala has felicitated Chinese President Xi Jinping on becoming President of People’s Republic of China for life. In a statement, Deputy Chairman Senate has said that “Under the President XI Jinping Era China decided to finance the CPEC projects in Pakistan as the first leg of its ambitious Belt and Road Initiative”.

Deputy Chairman Senate Saleem Mandviwala said that “One Belt One Road (OBOR) is one of the main initiatives of President Xi’s first term; this initiative will get a lot more impetus in his second term. This will only mean stronger support for CPEC from the Chinese side. Continuity of the CPEC plan will be a clear advantage to Pakistan, he added.

Senator Saleem Mandviwala said that While Sino-Pak alliance is time tested, China will continue to manifest its support for Pakistan in multiple ways. A stronger and more outward looking China will be beneficial to Pakistan beyond CPEC too. Deputy Chairman Senate is of the view President Xi Jinping is a thoroughly modern leader. He wants to use politics and high technology to create state control unprecedented in any state.
